Our Values
00 — Inspiration
Our drive and purpose draw greatly from the original GDevCon. You can read their values here. We’ve opted to stick with the same five main principles from the original GDevCon team. Here's our spin on them:
01 — Independence
There are no hidden agendas here. We are simply looking to serve the community. We don’t sell anything but tickets and sponsorship packages. Our tickets are priced not to make money, to cover our costs and leave enough left over to keep things running smoothly next year. Our sponsors get a little bit of publicity and a few tickets, and that is it. They have no influence over the content or focus.
02 — Collaborative Learning
As the original GDevCon put it, we aim to be the “User Group of User Groups”. No matter what skill level we are at, we are all here to learn together. We believe everyone has something to contribute.
03 — Pragmatic and Practical
Theory is important, but we value application more. We’re interested in exploring real world problems and want our attendees to leave with solutions to real problems that are relevant to them.
04 — Community Driven
We understand the community. We are a part of it. We welcome everyone in the community to present or attend, regardless of skill level or qualification.
05 — Team Focused
“No man is an island unto himself.” Accomplishing anything remarkable requires teamwork. We are interested in exploring all issues related to teamwork and collaboration. We also encourage teams to attend together.
Learn More About our Global Family
In 2017, the GDevCon Alliance was born when a number of like-minded professionals came together to form a new partnership with a common goal – to bring a truly independent LabVIEW conference to the world.
Built upon a formalised constitution and legal structure, these founding members freely volunteer their time and knowledge for the betterment of GDevCon.
2026 will mark their seventh event, this year hosted in Brussels, Belgium.

The inaugural GDevCon ANZ took place in Sydney on 24 & 25 October 2023 after being inspired by the original GDevCon and GDevCon North America.
“GDevCon ANZ Inc is a non-profit organisation committed to hosting a world-class graphical programming conference for the Australian and New Zealand LabVIEW community. GDevCon ANZ started in 2023, hosting the inaugural conference in Sydney in October 2023. GDevCon ANZ Inc is inspired by those paving the way before us: GDevCon in UK/Europe and GDevCon NA. Witnessing the success, energy, and amazing content these conferences have created in such a short amount of time became the impetus to create GDevCon ANZ Inc. Given the high price of flights post-COVID, this was also a huge reason to create an event in this part of the world.”
Their third event will take place in Melbourne, Australia in October of 2026.
